AL-FASEH MOSQUE (AL-FASEEH “SPACIOUS”, UHUD)

Al-Faseh Mosque (Al-Faseeh “spacious”, Uhud)

Al-Faseh Mosque is a small mosque contiguous to Mount Uhud, to the right when heading for the valley wherein the cavity under the cave is located, where some people believe that the Prophet (PBUH) entered.

It is demolished. It was narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) prayed Al-Dhuhur (noon) and Al-Aser (afternoon) in it on the Day of Uhud after the fighting was over. Omar, the servant of Ghafra, was quoted as saying that the Prophet (PBUH) prayed Al-Dhuhur on the Day of Uhud while sitting, due to the injuries he suffered, and the Muslims prayed behind him while sitting.

They claim that the Quranic verse: “O you who have believed, when you are told, “Space yourselves” in assemblies, then make space; Allah will make space for you. And when you are told, “Arise,” then arise; Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.” was revealed specifically for this mosque.
