This is the red mountain. The castle built on it is Turkish. It was established by the Turkish military commander Abdul Majeed at the time when Medina was besieged during Al-Ashraf era. Abdulla bin Al-Nawalaa was quoted as saying that four people of the pioneer immigrants stated that the Prophet (PBUH) went out to the red mountain located beyond the two minarets. The mountain’s name is An’om. If a dead goat gets rotten, then it is rotten, so they held their noses. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Do you know how bountiful this goat to its owner?” They said: “This has no bounty on anyone.” The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The worldis easier to God than this to its owner.”
